“ Server didn't speak much English which automatically makes me know the food is good. And it was. Also the server was full of smile which made the place so welcoming even without me able to speak Spanish. ”

Big loaded menu with all the Tex-Mex favorites. A whole page for enchiladas! A nice modern seating setting with good lighting. Service always attentive. Coffee and water refills abound. Ranchero music to entertain on speakers. A Laredo institution. ”

“ For nearly South of the Border, Danny's is your go-to place in Laredo! Been a rather long time since I have been there, but dang, I sure miss it for sure, and this pic really got my taste buds acting up! My favorite waitress was Silvia, and the last time I was there, she was still working there, still giving good service with a smile! If you are ever in the Laredo area, stop in and get some Steak Tampico, and ask for Silvia. Who knows, maybe she is still there... The Steak Tampico was my favorite meal here, as I got a Steak of course, a Taco, and a Cheese Enchilada. The Salsa is Amazing, but the chips can be a bit hard at times for me, but, still wonderful! I just wish I could get to Laredo so I could go to Danny's at least one more time! It really was one of my favorite cities to visit, as I am such a foody! Silvia, if you are still there, wow, that is some dedication to be working at the same place for like 35 plus years by now! I appreciate all the times we got to chat, and of the Great Service you always gave me while eating at Danny's. I always got good service from everyone there, but like I mentioned, you were my favorite waitress and I always looked forward to seeing you when I was in town. ”
“ I’ve been coming to Laredo to work for 7 years and somehow have never been to a Danny’s. But I came here today for a Mexican breakfast and it was great! My waitress - Graciela - was just so nice and the best. Recommended doing the homemade flour tortillas over the corn that I tried to order - so I said sure. Then she brought me a mix anyway :) I had the Machacado con huevos and it was really good! Really great food with exceptional service. I’ll make sure this is a stop every time I come for work! ”
